Curated Journey

White Lotus Resort Hopping

Type: CT Curated Journey
Duration: 7-21 nights

This journey will take you around the world to the amazing Four Seasons resorts that star in the hit series White Lotus:

  1. Four Seasons Maui, Hawaii

  2. Four Seasons Taormina (San Domenico Palace), Sicily, Italy

  3. Four Seasons Koh Samui, Thailand

One thing is clear: the production team of White Lotus has fantastic taste in hotels. These properties are the best of the best - the reviews from my clients are raving.

Now, since these are quite far apart and in vastly different time zones, I recommend to go season by season.

For those of you who like the adventure and don’t mind living in jet set limbo for a while, I also thought about a travel plan to “binge travel” all seasons. For that I included stops in between that in some way relate to the series.

Full binge-travel-plan:

Destination Duration
Season 1 Four Seasons Maui 5 nights
Interlude Beverly Hills 3 nights
Interlude Hamptons 3 nights
Season 2 Four Seasons Taormina 5 nights
Season 3 Four Seasons Koh Samui 5 nights

Season 1: Four Seasons Maui

1 Michelin Key

Step into the very haven where White Lotus Season 1 came to life. Nestled in Maui’s lush landscapes and breathtaking ocean vistas, this resort is a masterclass in tropical luxury. Every sunset, every hidden garden corner whispers tales of the series’ most iconic moments. Here, nature and narrative converge, inviting you to relive the drama and indulgence of the show—while experiencing world-class service and bespoke experiences unique to the island.

Your Accommodation

Leave it to Four Seasons to keep their service on the highest level even for a resort with 384 rooms and suites.

The spacious rooms start at 600 square feet (55.7 sqm), making them the largest standard rooms in Maui. They provide all the luxuries you can expect. Especially noticeable are the signature Four Seasons bed and a lanai (Hawaiian roofed veranda).

Dining

Among others you have this excellent choice of restaurants at the FS Maui:

  • Spago by Wolfgang Puck - Hawaiian & Californian fusion with panoramic ocean views

  • DUO Steak and Seafood - steakhouse where breakfast and dinner are served in a casual open-air setting

  • Ferraro’s Restaurant and Bar - acclaimed ocean-front open-air Italian restaurant

  • KOMO - sushi place and other Japanese cuisine

As a coffee enthusiast it’s worth to mention that they serve the famous Hawaiian Kona coffee at breakfast :)

Activities

Three pools, a beautiful beach (reportedly with big turtles swimming nearby), exploring the island, and oceanic activities like whale watching in winter provide plenty of exciting or relaxing things to do. And don’t forget to insta/tiktok your stay with the White Lotus soundtrack underneath.

Another difference between a Four Seasons and other hotels: No need to reserve pool chairs in the early morning or being nickled-and-dimed on cabana fees or similar. Because they know what luxury really means. And getting up early to wait in line for a beach chair you pay extra for is not it.

When to go

The best time to experience Maui is during its shoulder seasons. Typically, April through May offers brilliant sunshine and minimal rain, making it an ideal escape from the usual crowds. Although the winter months—especially December and January—are traditionally drier, recent trends show they’ve become more unpredictable and busy. Conversely, venturing into the off-peak periods can bring more frequent showers, particularly on the windward side. The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is situated on the leeward side of the island. This location benefits from sunnier weather and drier conditions. For those seeking a perfect balance of favorable weather and a relaxed atmosphere, the shoulder months are truly unmatched.

VIP Perks for you

Early check-in and late check-out (if available)

Complimentary upgrade (if available)

Complimentary breakfast daily for two guests per room

A hotel credit valued at $100 USD or $200 USD for suites & private retreats (once per stay)

Season 2: San Domenico Palace, Taormina, a Four Seasons Hotel

2 Michelin Keys

Experience the enchanting fusion of ancient Sicilian charm and modern elegance at the filming location of White Lotus Season 2. Overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean, San Domenico Palace, Taormina, a Four Seasons Hotel, transforms history into a living canvas of art, intrigue, and luxury. This is one of the oldest hotels in the world and has seen many celebrities during the jet set age and before (and after).

Wander the storied cobblestone streets and dine on culinary masterpieces that echo the season’s mysterious allure.

Accomodation

Boasting 111 guest rooms—including 43 suites, some featuring private terraces and plunge pools—the property offers a unique blend of history and modernity. The historic monastery wing delivers an unmatched sense of place and ambiance, with some rooms once serving as monks’ cells, while the 19th-century wing, added during the hotel’s transformation, embraces a contemporary design.

Dining

Get breathtaking vistas that perfectly complement an exceptional culinary journey along the coast. Savor Michelin-starred fine dining at Principe Cerami and indulge in a wine tasting adventure among the renowned vineyards of Mount Etna.

  • Principe Cerani - 1 Michelin star - “The menu at this restaurant aims to return to the basic principles that lie behind chef Massimo Mantarro’s cuisine, namely the use of local and seasonal niche ingredients.”

  • Rosso - Sicilian and International cuisine

  • Bar & Chiostro - one of the main filming locations for White Lotus, the famous piano bar is bound to get you in the mood

  • Anciovi - Seafood restaurant

Activities

It’s important to note, that this hotel does not have a beach - the one they used in White Lotus is at Cefalù on the North coast of the island. The Four Seasons concierge will be able to organize a beach day for you at nearby beach clubs, but this should not be the main reason for you to come to this hotel.

Sicily is full of natural wonders, like the cliffy coasts and the Etna volcano. In addition there are many filming locations of other famous productions. A significant location, among others, for the Godfather movies is not far from Taormina: Castello degli Schiavi. The FS actually offers a tour of all Godfather locations in the area.

Taormina itself is a picturesque old Sicilian town which invites you to walk its cobblestone streets and enjoy la dolce vita by eating at the many great restaurants here. On a neighboring hill you will find the cute town of Castelmola. The FS offers a tour in a Fiat 500 Spiaggina ending here with an aperitivo - sounds pretty Italian to me, no?

When to go

Sicily enjoys mild weather throughout the year. But the hotels here are mostly seasonally closed during winter time from Mid-November until beginning of March.
Spring—typically from April through June—offers mild temperatures, blooming landscapes, and a vibrant cultural scene without overwhelming crowds. Likewise, autumn (September and October) provides warm, pleasant weather perfect for exploring the island’s historic sites and enjoying its coastal beauty. While summer is lively and bustling, it can also be quite hot and crowded, and winter tends to be cooler with more rain. Ultimately, spring and autumn strike the ideal balance for most travelers.

VIP Perks for you

Early check-in and late check-out (if available)

Complimentary breakfast daily for two guests per room

A hotel credit valued at $100 USD or $200 USD for suites & private retreats (once per stay)

Season 3: Four Seasons Koh Samui

Discover the exotic allure of Four Seasons Koh Samui, the spectacular backdrop for White Lotus Season 3. Set against the serene, sun-kissed beaches of Thailand, this resort marries traditional Thai hospitality with contemporary luxury. Let the rhythm of the island and the gentle lapping of the waves transport you into a narrative of opulence and cultural discovery. Here, every meticulously crafted detail mirrors the on-screen drama—creating an experience that is as unforgettable as the series itself.

Accommodation

The villa accommodations are generously sized, elegantly appointed, and equipped with modern luxury amenities. A soothing palette of turquoise blue and seafoam green accentuates the contemporary, southern Thai-inspired interiors. Each villa boasts a delightful outdoor space and a private plunge pool—ideal for a refreshing dip or a few leisurely strokes. Guests can choose between hillside villas, offering scenic views of the Gulf of Siam, or beachfront options.

Dining

Savour gourmet Thai dishes and international cuisine in stunning beachfront settings. Whether you’re looking for fine dining or casual meals or you’d like to try your hand at a cooking class, discover the best culinary delights Koh Samui has to offer.

  • Koh Thai Kitchen - authentic Thai food

  • Koh Bar - cocktails and wine

  • Pla Pla - seafood and grilled meats

  • Cocorum - poolside bar

  • The Vault - for rum fans! Apparently Asia’s first and only library of rums from across the world

Activities

  • Although Koh Samui’s public beaches aren’t known for their idyllic appeal, the Four Seasons boasts a private stretch of paradise with talcum-white sands, towering palm trees, and crystal-clear blue waters.

  • For those who prefer swimming laps to splashing in the sea, a stunning beachside pool is available.

  • The property features an exceptional spa, discreetly nestled amid the soothing sounds of the jungle, far removed from urban clamor. Here, nurturing treatments are inspired by centuries-old healing techniques and utilize herbal, holistic remedies that are deeply rooted in Thailand’s spa heritage. Individual treatment rooms are located in five charming salas—covered verandas equipped with both indoor and outdoor Thai-style massage beds.

  • Cruises around the island paradise plus water sports of all kinds. For example FS offers a cruise to explore Angthong Marine Park's 42 islands. Dive into azure waters, snorkel among vibrant coral reefs and marvel at limestone cliffs.

  • Golfing at a beautiful golf course called Santiburi Golf & Country Club stretching along the hills of Koh Samui's northern coastline. The 18-hole golf course co-exists in blissful harmony with the island's natural environment. The fairway is lined with exotic palm trees, numerous natural waterfalls and creeks.

When to go

The ideal time to visit the island is between February and June, when sunny skies prevail and rainfall is minimal. Although December and January are traditionally part of the dry season, recent years have made these months somewhat unpredictable. Traveling during the off-peak periods may subject you to heavy showers and even intense storms. While October and November are typically the wettest months, Koh Samui still experiences considerably less rain than mainland Thailand—particularly when compared to the Andaman coast—during the rainy season.

VIP perks for you

Complimentary upgrade (if available)

Complimentary breakfast daily for two guests per room

A hotel credit valued at $100 USD or $200 USD for suites & private retreats (once per stay)

Interludes: Where the White Lotus guests are coming from

Not much is said about our protagonists origins, but we can deduct from their background stories that they come from money (old and new) and thus I chose fitting destinations for interludes between the main locations.

Beverly Hills

It may be the most expensive residential area in the world. Beverly Hills is an iconic enclave renowned for its unparalleled luxury and timeless elegance. Whether you’re exploring its lush gardens or dining at world-class restaurants, Beverly Hills offers a glimpse into a lifestyle defined by sophistication and glamour.

The Peninsula Beverly Hills

Just a few minutes from the renowned Rodeo Drive you will find this amazing hotel. The Hamptons

A couple from season 1 got married in the Hamptons - at least according to our two misfits. True or not, this region east of New York City is the traditional summer escape of the elite.

Nestled on Long Island’s eastern tip, this region exudes a blend of rustic charm and refined opulence. It’s a retreat for those who seek not only luxury and exclusivity but also a taste of nature’s unhurried beauty, a place where each sunset over the Atlantic is a reminder of both timeless tradition and modern extravagance.

Topping Rose House

Take the B&B/inn concept, make it thoroughly luxurious, add a Jean-Georges restaurant and Frette linens, and you’ve got a winning recipe.

Historic elegance with contemporary comfort in the heart of the Hamptons. A beautifully restored 19th-century home, Topping Rose House takes you back to a bygone era. This luxury retreat is the only full-service hotel in the Hamptons, making it the perfect place from which to explore Long Island. Make your way to your stylish room- suite or private cottage in the grounds. Light, airy, and furnished with bright colours and bespoke art, each space is designed with comfort in mind. In warmer months, take a stroll in the beautiful grounds or your iced tea to a lounger by the pool. There is also a spa and yoga studio for complete rejuvenation.

Whichever way you spend your time, let the hotel staff take care of your every need. Make time for lunch or dinner in the Jean-Georges Vongerichten restaurant, which champions farm-to-fork produce. And top up in between meals with your very own minibar and complimentary snacks. Fancy getting out and about, then drive to nearby Bridgehampton in a Lexus for art museums, cafes or a quick round of golf. Quaff your way, sensibly, around Long Island vineyards. Tour the opulent, Gatsby-style mansions on the Gold Coast. Or do what Long Islanders do best and head to the beach for a much-needed dip in the ocean.
